🍄 Strain: Mazatapec 🍄 Average Strength.
This is one of the first magic mushroom strains to be brought to the west, along with Huautla and some of the original stock that Dennis and Terence McKenna collected when they visited the Amazon for the first time.
The first sample came from the mountainous Sierra Mazateca regions of Mexico, where the strain flourishes in the grazed hillsides surrounding the small villages of the natives. Maria Sabina consumed mushrooms around the same area where the original Mazatapec strain was collected. Sabina was the shaman who first showed Wasson these magic mushrooms.
Mazatapec has round bulbous caps with a cream-white to golden brown coloration and long white stems that become narrower from base to cap.
The potency of this mushroom is about average, at roughly 0.61% psilocybin, 0.08% psilocin, and 0.71% total tryptamines.

Dosage Guidelines:

Low Dose (0.5 to 1.0 grams): At this level, users may experience mild effects, such as slight changes in perception, mood enhancement, and a general sense of relaxation. This dose is suitable for those who want to explore the effects of psilocybin without overwhelming intensity.
Moderate Dose (1.0 to 2.5 grams): A moderate dose leads to more noticeable effects, including visual distortions, altered thought patterns, and an increased sense of euphoria. This range is ideal for those seeking a deeper, more immersive experience, but it's important to approach it with caution and awareness.

If you’re tripping for the first time, it’s best to have a trip sitter nearby. A trip sitter will remain sober and watch over you to help out in the event of an emergency.
Start on a smaller dose "baby steps". Level 1 - 6. Do not exceed the recommended dose. A two day tolerance break is recommended between trips.
Set & Setting: Quite simply, the “set” is your mindset and the “setting” is your surroundings. Making sure that you’re in the right frame of mind, with the right people, and in a good environment, can literally make or break your trip. Taking the set and setting into consideration can drastically increase the probability of having a good experience.
